Paul’s Letter to the Philippians

book of Philippians is the first of three Captivity Letters of the Apostle Paul, written while he was in prison for the Gospel. Paul had first brought the Gospel to Philippi on his Second Missionary Journey. Now he was writing a letter to encourage and instruct them. He wanted their faith to abound more and more. He exhorted them to have servant hearts. Paul includes a wonderful section on salvation by grace alone. He attempts to settle a dispute between two, faithful women. He gives God’s solution to worry. So much in just four chapters! class is being taught by Truman Criss in the Fellowship Hall.
