David was born in Fairmont, Minnesota, but spent his growing up years in Milwaukee and in Seward, Nebraska. His parents were both Lutheran school teachers and graduates of Concordia Teachers College in Seward. David attended there also, graduating with a degree in teaching in 1976.
However, the influence of parents and other relatives, as well as pastors and professors, convinced David to become a pastor. David says, “The thought of learning the Greek of the New Testament and studying God’s Word in its original language was exciting to me. I really wanted to get to the grass roots of the Christian religion and see for myself if the things I had been taught were true. And, I could see no higher calling in life than to bring people to the knowledge of their Savior, Jesus Christ.”
Having graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in 1980, David has served congregations in Wyandotte, Michigan, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Owatonna, Minnesota and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He has been serving at Trinity since December 2000.
David met his wife, Lisa, while serving his congregation in Albuquerque. They were married in 1988 in a special, Sunday morning worship service! Together, David and Lisa have five children: Becca, Tim, Sarah, Hannah and Marysa. They enjoy serving in the church, traveling, walking, riding bikes, playing games and watching movies.
Aaron was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended college at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Aaron graduated from OSU in 1999 with a bachelors in sociology and minor in religious studies, and then went on to Concordia Seminary, St. Louis for a master’s of divinity degree in preparation for pastoral ministry.
Studying industrial engineering and management for three years at OSU, Aaron originally planned to become an engineer like his father. But through the Lord tugging on his heart, and the guidance of pastors, professors, parents, and friends, Aaron pursued the call into the ministry. Aaron has been serving at Trinity Lutheran Church, Broken Arrow since 2004 and loves all aspects of ministry, especially working with youth.
Aaron met his wife, Erin, while at the seminary in St. Louis and they were married in 2004. They have been blessed with a daughter and the family enjoys fellowship and service with their church family and friends.

Beverly Dyer was born and raised in Kansas, but has been a resident of Oklahoma since 1973. Beverly has served as Trinity’s secretary since July, 2000. She retired from federal service in 1999 with 26 years of helping others. But she soon realized she wasn’t really ready for “retirement.”
Beverly is married to Jim, who is retired from the United States Air Force and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. They are parents of four children, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. They enjoyed traveling and living in many areas of the country and overseas while Jim served in the USAF. Beverly’s hobbies include reading, scrapbooking and machine embroidery.
