The Bible claims to be a clear book, and so it is. However, there are some difficult sayings, and some come right out of the mouth of Jesus. For example, how does one explain these words, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one” (Luke 22:36)? There are plenty of other hard sayings too, and we wish to explore them in this class, taught by Pastor Cloeter in Room 118.
