How to be a Master Greeter

February 17th and 24th

Have you ever gone to an event and not known anyone there? Have you stood by while waiting to see if someone will acknowledge you or approach you? Do you watch to see what others are doing so you can follow their lead since you haven’t been there before? Put yourself in the position of someone new walking in the doors of Trinity Lutheran Church. Do they feel welcomed and comfortable or are they lost and in need of direction? We will be offering a two week course on “How to be a Master Greeter” that will help you build the skills and give you the vision and inspiration to become a Master Greeter. We would ask that anyone who is presently a greeter or thinking of becoming a greeter attend the class. We would also ask that all ushers attend since our ushers are usually the second person that interacts with a visitor. Finally, we invite all our members, even those who do not want to be formal greeters, to attend knowing that each of us is the embodiment of the person of Christ as He lives in our church, and as such, has a responsibility towards our visitors. There will be a signup sheet in the hallway for all who want to attend. This course will be taught by Bruce Begitschke during the Sunday School hour on February 17th and 24th.
