Paul's letter to the Colossians magnifies the Person of Jesus Christ, His dignity and divinity. It also speaks of the complete sufficiency of His work of redemption for our salvation. Why did the Apostle Paul write of Jesus in this way? Because false teachers had invaded the congregation, telling the Christians that their knowledge in Christ was incomplete and insufficient. They, the false teachers, had higher wisdom and could teach them such rules as they now lacked. Paul addressed the Christians in Colossae with the greatness of Jesus Christ, our all-sufficient Savior! This class will be led by Truman Criss.
