This class, taught by Trinity’s pastor, is an overview of the teachings of the Bible, Christianity and the Lutheran faith. Those who have little or no background in the faith of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod are asked to participate in this class as their way of joining Trinity. However, there is no pressure to join the congregation. That I May Know Jesus class covers such topics as:
God, Creation, the Bible, the Ten Commandments and Sin, Jesus our Savior, Salvation by Faith Alone, Baptism, the Lord’s Supper, Death, the End of the World, Prayer and more.
The basic text for this class is the Bible. Those who attend the class will also receive a free copy of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism, as well as a class notebook. No one is required to read or speak publicly in class. You may, however, ask as many questions as you like. There is no cost. And you are welcome to bring a friend.
